Dining

Cabo is known for world-class dining, but there are some hidden gems–like taco shacks that serve the best Baja-style tacos you’ll ever come across. Our list encompasses the best of both worlds.

Comal

An uber-posh contemporary Mexican restaurant with a large alfresco dining area that overlooks the Sea of Cortez, Comal is located inside the Chileno Bay Resort. We’re not going to bother calling out any one dish for a recommendation because the truth is, everything here is wonderful. But we will strongly advise you to look out for the ultimate zaddy, Executive Chef, Yvan Mucharraz–who by the way, trained under Thomas Keller–no big deal. While it’s open for breakfast and dinner, we highly recommend choosing to dine here for dinner (and cocktails… and dessert). OpenTable→

Santo Chilote

Just this taco shack on its own is worth the day trip to Todos Santos, you have not had a fish taco until you’ve had a Santo Chilote fish taco. This is the Baja your dad romanticizes about, the way he remembers it when he rode through during his Kerouac phase in college. Prices here can’t be beat, food is stellar, there are great vegetarian and vegan options (e.g. fried avocado taco), and major bonus, now you have a great excuse to roam around Todos Santos for the day. We suggest going to the bar at the Todos Santos Inn after you’ve had your QTT (quality taco time). Yelp→
